The SaddleBrooke Hiking Club has over six-hundred energetic, enthusiastic members whose passion is hiking the grand canyons, gentle hills and magnificent mountains of Southern Arizona.  Although the club gathers periodically for social hours, picnics, and trail work days, the main activity and focus is hiking.

Membership in the club is open to all SaddleBrooke residents for $10 a year.  If you are a resident, you must be a member to hike with the club, although you may hike one time without joining.  Non-residents may join a hike as a guest on a space available basis when accompanied by a member.  Hikes are led by club members who choose from the club’s database of almost 500 hikes or propose their own at the hiking guide meetings held every other month.  Hikes are graded according to difficulty and vary from easy strolls to strenuous, challenging climbs.

Fitness walks around SaddleBrooke are led Mondays through Fridays, generally 3-4 miles.  Extended fitness walks of 7-10 miles are led monthly.

Multi-day hiking trips or backpacking trips are offered several times a year.

The club newsletter with a list of currently scheduled hikes is published mid-month of each even numbered month.  Members receive the newsletter by email and can view it on this website.

If you wish to join the club, please complete the Membership Application and Release form posted on the “Forms” page, and mail it with your check to the designated address.

We look forward to seeing you on our hikes!
