Garwood/Three Tank/Bridal Wreath Falls Loop. Rating: B. Pace: Moderate [119, 06:30 AM, $8]. The Garwood Trailhead is located at the east end of Speedway Blvd. The hike starts with a pleasant traverse of the Garwood Trail for the first 1.8 miles, before turning off on to the Carillo Trail (left) and following this for 0.9 mile making a stop at the Garwood Dam. Next we take an up & back spur to the Little Wildhorse Tank and a major stop for this 0.8 mile excursion. Now its 0.5 mile on the Wildhorse Trail and the complete 3.2 mile traverse of the Three Tank Trail and then a 1.2 mile up & back walk to the Bridal Wreath Falls and in spring should be quite spectacular with a flowing falls. Note that the trail is well used and easy to follow, but does require some rock scrambling to reach the falls. We return via the Douglas Spring trail for a 2.4 mile, steep 1000 foot descent to get back to our cars and complete the loop.  Bring sun protection. Water may be flowing over the falls if there has been sufficient rainfall/snowmelt. Hike 9.6 miles; trailhead elevation 2745 feet; net elevation change 1045 feet; accumulated gain 1350 feet; RTD 80 miles.
