[B] Josephine Saddle and McBeth Springs
About this event
Josephine Saddle and McBeth Springs. Rating: B. Pace: Moderate [235, 08:00 AM, $17]. Starting in Madera Canyon (Santa Rita Mountains), the hike proceeds up the Vault Mine Trail to the Agua Caliente Trail. We then follow the Agua Caliente Trail to Josephine Saddle, with a side hike to McBeth Springs (about .5 miles). NOTE: The Vault Mine trail is very steep in spots, and the Agua Caliente Trail is narrow and crosses several very rocky areas. We will return via the Super Trail. Hike approx. 9 miles; trailhead elevation 5450 feet; net elevation change 1630 feet; accumulated gain approximately 2220 feet; RTD 130 miles. There is a fee for parking unless you have a National Park Pass that must be displayed.
