The Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve, 9 Holes.  (front or back 9)  Rating D.  Pace Moderate.  [NEW, 06:30 AM, $3].  This Tom Weiskopf designed golf course opened in 1995.  The course was closed in 2018 and has reverted back to nature.  The property opened as Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve in 2022.  The existing eight-foot-wide concrete path winds through the property providing visitors with views of the Catalina and Tortolita mountains, examples of varied desert vegetation, and the opportunity to view an abundance of wildlife.  Rest room approximately halfway.  https://www.orovalleyaz.gov/Government/Departments/Parks-and-Recreation/Parks/Vistoso-Trails-Nature-Preserve.
Optional: coffee stop at The Views restaurant at Sun City after the hike.  Hike 3.15 miles; trailhead elevation 2965 feet; elevation gain 66 feet.  RTD 24 miles.
