Prison Camp to Sabino Canyon. Rating: C***. Pace: Moderate [345, 06:00 AM, $12]. This is a beautiful mostly downhill hike from the old prison camp off the Catalina Hwy to Sabino Canyon where we will catch the tram down to the Visitor Center. Fee required for the tram. Hike 7.6 miles; As you pass Sycamore Dam the trail does have a narrow section with a steeply sloping grade to the right. Do not recommend attending if you have a fear of heights or have a tendency to trip. Trailhead elevation 4863 feet; net elevation change minus 1550 feet; accumulated gain approximately 850 feet; RTD 94 miles

Meet at Mountain View parking lot at 6:15 for 6:30 departure Bring at least 2 liters of water.

Registration is required
One or more car drops will be needed due to need to return to Prison Camp starting point. Need drivers with national park passes or access. Hikers will need to purchase a roundtrip tram ride to guarantee a seat on the Sabino Canyon tram for ride back to Sabino Canyon parking lot.
